Spiritual Research Workgroup - Newsletter I/2001

Dear Member, Dear Reader,

warm greetings from our training center on Semmering in Austria! Here is our report from the first weeks of the third millennium - but also the year 2000, where we didn't even get to writing because of all the work that had to be done.

By the way we got the winter back after a few early spring days in the first half of february - right now we have the longest icicles of the whole winter season!

If you have not visited us for a while (or maybe you have been our guest in these meagre beginning times where we still had to study in the Scientology library, because the main courseroom was a carpenter's workshop and the entrance a junk room) - we have very positive news for you!

Nearly all the renovation work which we started in order to turn a 19th century pension into a comfortable training center, is finished. The efforts are not even visible anymore - that we had to dig a new sewer line for the courseroom toilets (!) and that we had to support the entrance area from below, so that the old wood construction would not collapse under the new concrete and the tiles, is only one of the smaller adventures we lived through with this house!

Regarding the furnishing, we deliberately decided to be satisfied with modest solutions. Too many of us have the painful surprise that our hard-earned donations were used to finance material pomp instead of spiritual progress, still fresh in our mind.

But we invested a lot of time and care to create an extensive collection of materials from various sources in books and on the internet, which cover more or less all areas of life and case, even those which we could not have resolved with our earlier training alone. Isn't a wide horizon a nice thing?

Studying under palms, entirely stress-less (in a former carpernter's workshop)! And from there on right into the session... for individual sessions we also adapted a friendly room.

For our foreign visitors we have negotiated special arrangements with the owner of a nearby pension - they stay there for especially low prices. The marvellous look at Rax and Schneeberg - a famous Austrian holiday area - is a free extra which we couldn't buy for any money in the world!

For visitors who want to stay longer and keep up with their work, we have a special service:

A guest room with internet-connection can serve for solo-sessions as well as for the use of a computer by software developers, translators etc., who normally work at home and send their products to their employers by e-mail. They can work there for a part of the day, while they study for the rest of the day or proceed with their sessions.

In our free time we also expanded our mini-agriculture. Beside all kinds of vegetables and the bees, who now live here already through the second winter (we see them from time to time on warm days), we also got a few chickens and rabbits.

Although we earned a lot of laughter on the internet because we prepare ourselves for any upcoming emergencies, it is a good feeling to be able to produce the most important foodstuffs ourselves! (It is also a nice exercise for poor computer cripples...)

Of all the new things the youngest (and the most exciting!) is our new logo. The work of the last years, which saw material necessities and spiritual goals in such a close vicinity, made us understand thoroughly how much the spiritual world is rooted in the physical; but also how the material world - ideally - finally flows back into the spiritual fatherland.

LOGO40.GIF (601 Byte)So far, our logo still showed a distant connection with the eight dynamics of Scientology, where life is artificially divided into several sections. Our new logo on the other hand represents the idea that all life areas, but also the two apparently irreconcilable opponents, spirit and matter, are one whole after all - and that the real art consists of merging them together so intimately that the spirit enlightens and animates even the most earthly activities.
This new way of looking at things also gets represented by our wider approach in training and processing. We not only greatly expanded our repertoire of techniques, we now also include the medical situation and lifestyle of our members in the design of their mental training program. We also finally found a partner who with the help of bioresonance, homeopathy and other natural methods gives therapy recommendations in case of physical difficulties: http://www.naturpraxis.at.
Another very positive aspect is our cooperation with Ralph Hilton, an electronics specialist who goes down new and surprising paths in the development of biofeedback-meters. In the end of 2000, together with a partner in England he even developed a device, the so-called c-meter, which can be built into a computer and allows "remote processing" between training partners who are geographically remote, but connected by an internet line. Not even an ocean is a barrier anymore for such a session!
We invite you to give us a call during the next few days (..43-2666-55415), so that we can think about your next step in mental training together. If you haven't thought about it for a while, could it be that there is a tacit "contract" in your environment to make no spiritual progress? In this case we recommend a famous article by Alan C. Walter. It contains a few powerful processes which are renowned for "cracking" resistive situations.

Sincerely, your

Heidrun Beer (chairman)
